An assessor may request a transfer of an assessment from another assessor organisation. This is only applicable when the registered assessment is a previous version and therefore cannot be registered to the current version of the scheme. If the transfer is successful, the new assessor will have the registration assigned to them maintaining the previously registered version. Current QA fees will apply and the registration date will be the date of transfer not original registration date.
The assessor who is taking on the assessment should submit the transfer registration.
The new assessor must enter a valid reference number of the assessment registered at another organisation. In order to process a transfer of a previous version registration, there must be an email/letter of authority from the original assessor organisation or the client can request a change in assessor by sending an written letter of authority to transfer.
Please note that if the original assessor organisation has entered into administration, the authorisation must come from the administrators and cannot be accepted from the assessor or client.
The system will accept a valid reference providing the project registered has not been certified or submitted for QA by the original assessor.
Currently there are two reference formats, the original reference is being phased out.
The reason for the change is that transferring and splitting schemes was becoming difficult. The original reference contains scheme and company information. The new reference consists of an anonymous integer which makes record updates much easier.
